These aren’t exactly ‘healthified’ waffles, but they are certainly delicious, and if you don’t over indulge, they aren’t going to hurt you!
Serves 3
Ingredients:
1 cup Plain flour
½ tsp Salt
2 tsp Baking powder
1 Egg
3/4 cup Warm milk
1/4 cup Butter, melted
1 Heaped tblsp yoghurt
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking powder; set aside. Preheat waffle iron to desired temperature.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg. Stir in the milk, butter, yoghurt and vanilla. Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture; beat until blended.
- Ladle the batter into a preheated waffle iron. Cook the waffles until golden and crisp. Serve immediately.
I topped mine with peanut butter, bananas, 100% dark chocolate – kiwi, pomegranate and coconut – passionfruit and blueberries – pear and nuts
