We were clearing out our pantry for a holiday so we had no tahini, I decided to try hummus without it and it turned out just fine!
1 x 400g tin of Chickpeas drained and rinsed (reserve a few for presentation if you like)
3 tbsp of Olive oil
1 tsp crushed garlic
Juice of one lemon
Salt and Pepper
Sprinkle of Paprika
- In a blender (I used my nutri-bullet) blend all ingredients
- Stir halfway through, then continue to blend until smooth
- Top with paprika and any left over chickpeas
- Enjoy with veggie sticks, on sandwiches or with falafel!
