I often get asked “what exactly is a smoothie bowl!?” To me, its a thicker consistency smoothie, almost the consistency of ice-cream that requires eating with a spoon. It’s also about all the toppings, the more the merrier I say!
½ – 1 Frozen banana
1 cup Frozen mango
1 tsp Maca powder
1 tbsp Protein powder
¼ cup Almond milk or Coconut water
1-2 tbsp Yoghurt (Optional)
- Place all ingredients into a blender and blend! Occasionally you may have to stop halfway and give it a good stir. If it seems too thick, add some additional liquid.
- Top with your favourite things! I like adding fresh fruit, coconut shreds, buckwheat and cacao nibs
