Basic Oatmeal Recipe

Serves 1

Ingredients:
½ cup Oats
1 cup Boiling water
½ cup Milk (Almond milk, Rice milk)
½ tsp Vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Place oats and boiling water in a pot over medium heat, cook, stirring occasionally until all liquid has evaporated, approximately 10 minutes
  2. Stir through the milk and vanilla, cook for another few minutes until the liquid has evaporated and the oats are plump
  3. Top with all your favourite things, I love fresh fruit, nuts, seeds and occasionally nut butter
